According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, a person with a marketing degree that goes on to become a marketing degree can expect to earn a salary that is well over $70,000 per year. In fact, the Bureau reports that the median annual salary in May 2004 for those employed as marketing managers was $84,220.
The amount of money you can earn as a marketing manager will depend upon a number of different factors. For example, the type of marketing degree you have earned will have an impact on your income. If you have a master's level marketing degree, you will likely be able to bring in a higher income than someone with a bachelor's level marketing degree.
The geographical location of the company you work for will also have an impact on your income. In addition, the type of industry in which you work will impact the amount of money you can expect to make after you earn a marketing degree. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the highest paid area is the computer systems design and related services area, with the median annual salary in this are being $107,030 in May 2004. Those that were employed in management of companies and enterprises were not that far behind, earning a meaning annual salary of $98,700. The lowest paid area was in the depository credit intermediation field, with the median annual salary being $76,450.
